The photo you see above was taken while I greeted the morning from my cousin's hot tub. Yes it's true; this is the view from the hot tub. Views like this are hard to come by and views like this from a hot tub are almost unheard of, even in California. The particular view you see here is a familiar one to me.This is the neighborhood where I grew up.
When I came to my cousin Russ' house I not only surprised him with my presence, but I also surprised him by staying at his house for 10 days in a row....Yes he loves me alot. Staying at his place is a special treat because, #1. I get to spend time with Russ, #2. I get to stay in my old neighborhood even though my parents sold the house over ten years ago, #3.Did I mention he has a hot tub?
We spent most of our time just catching up. We talked about events, past and future. He makes me different fresh juices with his new Christmas present: The world famous Vita mixer. It seems to me that Russ could be one of the most balanced and well rounded individuals I know. He always thinks thoroughly before making any judgments or decisions. When I was flying back to Sweden I read a magazine about meditation and self realization that he gave me and I came to the conclusion that Russ really does have it all together.
Now I have decided that anytime I feel stressed or anxious I will take some deep breaths and think about what advice Russ would give me on the matter at hand. He has given me the power to take control of my thoughts and the permission put energy into healing myself instead of wasting it on worry. I know I am not the only one who has benefited from Russ' calming presence. He works as a Therapist and gives so much of himself and his gift for healing people to his clients, as well as countless members of his family and friends.
